Paul and Mike's Transmissions has been providing courteous, professional automotive service to the Joliet area for over 45 years.

Paul and Mike's Transmissions was founded in 1955 by Paul Blatti and Michael Kijowski. We were the first shop in Joliet to specialize in repairing transmissions. In the late seventies, we expanded our services to include brakes, engines, cooling systems and more. As our business grew, so did our shop facilities, which today number several connected buildings.

Our technicians keep up with the latest advances in automotive technology and are ASE and ATRA certified. We also provide complete diagnostic services.

We are members of the trade organizations ATRA and ATSG, both of which supply nationwide warranty services as well as technical support to member shops.

We also belong to and support the Better Business Bureau, Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce, and many local service organizations.

About the Owner


 Paul Blatti grew up in the Joliet area and attended Joliet Central High School. Paul's partner, Mike Kijowski, retired in 1981 leaving Paul the sole owner. Paul still works full time and does transmission overhaul jobs - but just on antique cars. He also drives the courtesy car when customers need rides.
