Sacrament of the Sick:
Celebrated individually upon request. If someone is seriously ill, they should be anointed. Please call the rectory.

Marriages:
Parishioners should make arrangements at least six months in advance and be a registered parishioner.

New Parishioners:
Are most welcome and are asked to register at the rectory.

Historic St. Joseph Church, located at the north end of Joliet's City Center, was established in 1891 to serve the growing community of Slovenian immigrants who had settled in the town at the end of the nineteenth century.

The present church building, made of Indiana limestone, with its distinctive dual spires and silver hue, was built in 1905 and recently underwent a total renovation of the interior and exterior.

Sacrament of Reconcilliation:
(Confession) On Saturday at 3:00 - 3:30pm. Other times on request. Please call the rectory.

Sacrament of Baptism:
On the second Sunday of the month immediately after the 11:30 am mass. The parents of the child are to make arrangements prior to the Baptism. Sponsors should be Catholics.
