offers Tae Kwon Do, Combat
Hapkido and Fitness Classes
for men, women and children of all ages.
Tae
Kwon Do
is the technique of unarmed combat for self-defense. It uses powerful
hand strikes, blocks, and kicks as a means of self-discipline, spiritual
growth, physical conditioning, and self-defense. Tae Kwon Do develops
the mind, body and spirit, and encourages a balance of knowledge, honesty,
and strength.
Combat
Hapkido is an extremely realistic
and versatile discipline of self protection that includes an extensive
variety of joint locks, kicks, strikes, take downs, pressure points, grappling
and disarming techniques. The result is a comprehensive Self Defense system
enjoyable to learn, safe to practice and, most of all, totally effective.
Combat
Hapkido
is well suited for men and women of all ages and sizes because physical
strength and athletic abilities are not essential.

THE
OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
TM Martial Arts is owned by Tim Harrison,
a 4th Degree Black Belt. Tim has been studying Martial Arts since
1972. In 2002, he decided to leave the corporate world and pursue his
life's passion. Tim has been teaching the Martial Arts for over 10 years
and is excited about owning his own studio in Joliet. He is a proud inductee
of the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame and was the 2004 Hap
Ki Do Instructor of the Year. Tim is a resident of Plainfield and
has two teenage sons.
