Jaime McDonough Photography

"Art fills me up as a person: I feel empty when Im not doing it" Since I was about 6 years old I was completely immersed with art, and in the past 18 years that hasn't changed at all.

As a freelance photographer for the Herald News and the Sun, I have been a part of many great opportunities, including the Route 66 raceway NHRA Nationals and the Chicagoland Speedway, NASCAR.

Aside from photojournalism, my work experience has taken me everywhere from school sports to commercial work in large corporations and small businesses to creative personal portraits. I have had the rare priviledge to work for USG, one of the largest building material corporations as well as the Ronald McDonald Charity hockey match featuring 1998 Womens Olympic Hockey champion, Cammi Granato.

My work can not only be seen in the Herald and Sun, but also in brochure work and websites for area businesses, on cd covers for Chicagoland musicians and will be in an up and coming Poetry book written by Jeff Foster. Although photography is really my main focus, I also make time for my illustration work and painting, which I display in art shows from time to time. I am known for the personalized doors that I paint.
