House of Bullet

My objective in creating CityofJoliet.com
was to connect business to business, business to consumer, resident to resident,
and resident to city government. CityofJoliet.com is your community web site -- use it as a valuable resource.

Tim Scott Kump
Designer, Owner and Publisher of CityofJoliet.com

Tim with Citizen's Police Academy Certificate of Achievement. Flanked by (from left) Will County Sheriff's Police Sergeant Michael Mackay, Will County Sheriff Paul Kaupas, New Lenox Police Chief Walter J. Kaszubski, and New Lenox Trustee Tom Weigel.

The Citizen's Police Academy is a ten week crime prevention and informational program that provides an overview of how police departments accomplish the task of policing the community. This is a program I highly recommend. It was informative, educational, entertaining, sometimes surprising and always interesting. Take the course and get a better understanding of how our judicial system works, how police departments function, and how difficult and challenging a job it is to be a police officer.

The House of Gucci
A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

By Sara Gay Forden

The Gucci family is waaay goofy. Read how a bunch of greedy, backstabbing, bickering Guccis lost control of the empire that made GG synonymous with loafers. This story is destined to become a great tv mini-series.

Sites to See:

Downtown INDY
Only a three hour drive from
Joliet, Downtown Indianapolis
is a great weekend getaway.
The city is a cleaner, smaller
version of Chicago, with beautiful
historic architecture, a bustling
nightlife, cultural events, and
great shopping. If you've never
been there, it's worth the trip.

The Reddick Mansion
100 West Lafayette St.
Ottawa, Illinois
815.434.2737
A 30-minute drive from Joliet will
bring you to this stunning, ornate
Italianate residence built in 1855.
This sumptuously appointed
nineteenth-century home is a must
see! Take the tour, then check out
a very cool downtown Ottawa with
hip gift shops, restaurants and
coffee shops, not to mention
some other great architecture.

Hegeler Carus Mansion
1307 Seventh Street
La Salle, Illinois
815.224.6543
Only 45-minutes from Joliet, this
50 room, 16,000 square foot stately
mansion is an architectural
masterpiece. Designed by W.W.
Boyington
, and built in 1874, this
Second Empire style home is a great
example of high artistic achievement
in architecture and interior design.
La Salle is only a 15 minute drive
from Ottawa, so combine these
two trips. While you're at it, visit
nearby Starved Rock State Park.
